Ted Kravitz is confident that Ocon and Berman will perform at Haas

In theory, there is no clarity at all as to who will drive for Haas F1 in 2025 – this is one of two teams in which contracts with neither driver have been confirmed (the second is Alpine), but journalists from the British TV channel Sky De sport is not yet ready to agree to this.

Today, Tad Kravitz, an experienced reporter who has worked in the paddock for many years, literally said the following in the latest episode of the Sky Sports F1 Podcast:

“Oliver Berman and Esteban Ocon will drive for Haas and they will, in my opinion, be the tallest pair of drivers in the history of Formula 1, as they are each approximately 185cm tall! And now Haas’ designers have to take measures to ensure these guys fit into the car’s cockpit.

The way Haas F1 boss Ayo Komatsu spoke about Ocon’s racing qualities in Canada completely convinces me that Esteban will be Ollie’s teammate next year. Let’s just say: I’m 99% sure.”

This is what Komatsu had to say about the French driver in Montreal: “Esteban is a very experienced professional, he has a race victory and several podiums to his name, and he has earned many points in his career driving for different teams. And we just need an experienced racer. At the same time, he is only 27 years old, he is still very young, but he is distinguished by determination and courage.

I am talking to several experienced riders, but also to young riders, and Esteban is certainly one of those I am seriously considering.”

Komatsu has known Ocon for more than ten years, dating back to the time when he was a Lotus F1 test driver.

Speaking of Oliver Berman, he will get behind the wheel of Nico Hulkenberg’s car in Barcelona next Friday – this will be his second training session with Haas. The first was in Imola and six such training sessions will take place this season. Everything indicates that the confirmation of the Ferrari protégé’s contract with the American team is only a matter of time.
