Ferrari is optimistically looking forward to the Spanish weekend, home of Carlos Sainz, and hopes to forget the Canadian disappointment…
Frederic Vasseur, team boss: “In Spain we have to be fast again and show the same level as during the season before the Canadian Grand Prix.
We arrive in Barcelona buoyed by the fantastic performance of our colleagues at Ferrari Hypercar, who have just won the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the second year in a row.
We have drawn important conclusions after the weekend in Montreal and are moving forward. You should work quietly and concentrate on your form.
The Barcelona circuit has always been regarded as an excellent test for all the car’s systems, and we expect to be back in our usual form here.
We’ve seen all season that qualifying and the race are fought down to the hundredth of a second, so it’s crucial to get everything right down to the smallest detail. Only by performing each session perfectly can we achieve the results we are capable of.
This is Carlos’ home race and I’m sure the support from the fans will be an extra incentive for him. We have an interesting weekend ahead of us and we expect to earn a lot of points.”
