On the eve of the Spanish Grand Prix, the FIA spoke of changes at the circuit and confirmed the location of two DRS zones.
Compared to last year, the concrete curbs on the left have been extended to the exit of the second bend and new posts have been placed. On the right side of the second bend, the concrete curbs have been repaired and repainted.
On the right side of turn seven, the concrete curbs were extended to the apex. In the area from the thirteenth through fourteenth turns on the left, concrete curbs have been restored and painted.
A new marshal post has been installed in turn 12. All stickers have been removed from the asphalt in the pit lane.
The DRS zones in Barcelona are located on the straight between turns 9 and 10 and on the starting straight. The first point for measuring the distance between cars is 86 meters before Turn 9 with an activation point 40 meters after.
The second interval measuring point is located on the first safety car line with the activation point 162 meters after turn 14.
