Lando Norris was the fastest in the first training session in Barcelona on Friday and showed the 3rd fastest time in the second session, but that does not mean that the McLaren driver is happy with everything.
Lando Norris (3rd): “In my opinion, everything went quite well today, although it is always difficult to work on the track in hot conditions. The impressions were not the most pleasant, as the tires overheated very quickly and it was difficult to keep them in the optimal operating range.
Still, I think we started the weekend well; I immediately felt quite comfortable behind the wheel. The results are very tight and we still have to work on several nuances to achieve improvements by Saturday. But I have no doubt that the rivalry this weekend will be no less intense than in Canada.
I will not mention any specific area where improvement is most important, as we need to improve in all areas. Some problems are easier to solve, others will be more difficult to solve, but in the evening we will analyze everything together with the engineers and look for opportunities to realize improvements tomorrow.”
