Going into the weekend Logan Sargent was excited that his car in Barcelona would have the same specification as Alex Albon’s, but this turned out not to be the case, but the results were similar.
Alex Albon (19th) “We knew that the third training session would not be representative, but after qualifying we were still disappointed.
The long bends on this circuit have not suited the Williams cars very well in recent years, but otherwise we have made a huge step compared to last year. Maybe I could have gotten more out of the car in one or two corners, but overall the feeling is good, which once again shows how strong the average group of teams is at this stage of the season. Let’s see what opportunities open up for us tomorrow.”
Logan Sargent (20th): “Unfortunately the cars ended up having different specifications. The new pants we brought in turned out to be worse than the previous ones, although we did everything we could over the weekend to make them work. It is a shame.
We need to tackle the problem and find a solution for the future. We will continue to fight regardless of the situation.”
