On the first weekend of August, the Garage Fest race festival will be held at the Igora Drive circuit near St. Petersburg, as part of the second leg of the Russian Endurance Challenge 2022 series. On August 7, the crew of the G-Drive Racing team consisting of Daniil Kvyat will start in the sport prototype class and Roman Rusinov.
The four-hour VTB REC IGORA DRIVE 4h marathon will be the first joint appearance of the two drivers and Kvyat’s debut with G-Drive Racing. The endurance race will take place on the updated track configuration to be presented at the end of July.
Daniil Kvyat: “I am looking forward to my first start for G-Drive Racing! Moreover, this will be my first endurance race of my career and I am very happy to spend it in Russia as part of the most acclaimed domestic racing team on the highest track.
So far I have only seen the new configuration of Igora Drive on the diagram and photos, but apparently in this version the track has become even more interesting in terms of pilots. Can’t wait to try it out in a quick prototype.”
Roman Rusinova: “I am very happy to be behind the wheel of a racing prototype again and to be on the same crew as Daniil Kvyat, who joined our team at the beginning of this year. We are focused on the highest results, but the main goal is to please the audience that will gather on Igora Drive. We look forward to meeting motorsport fans!”
