In the last four races, Max Verstappen achieved 83 points, Lando Norris – 67 and Sergio Perez – only eight. McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown hopes this trend will continue.
Zak Brown: “In Barcelona we won points from Ferrari, and Mercedes were only a few points ahead of us. We can compete on an equal footing with Ferrari and Mercedes, and also with Red Bull, while Perez takes so few points. After the first race of the season, many thought it was all over, but they were wrong. Nothing has been decided yet!
I look forward to the sequel. In our situation, the more races, the better. We just have to keep doing what we’re doing. Andrea Stella leads the team in the right direction.
We are completely focused on the work. We look at each race individually. Now we are preparing for Austria, then we transfer to Silverstone. Engineers at the grassroots are working for the medium term and continue to refine the vehicle.”
