Oliver Berman made a stunning debut in Formula 1, replacing Carlos Sainz at the wheel of a Ferrari during the second stage of the season in Jeddah. The young driver qualified confidently and raced, avoiding serious mistakes and gaining six points for seventh place.
In Imola and Barcelona, Oliver returned to the Formula 1 wheel with Haas and took part in the first training sessions. Berman is said to have a guaranteed contract with Haas until 2025 and will now have to wait for official confirmation.
Racingnews365 writes based on sources that Haas will announce a contract with Berman during the British Grand Prix. There at Silverstone, Oliver will again get behind the wheel of the VF-24 during the first training session.
It is not yet known who Berman’s partner will be. Among the candidates mentioned are Kevin Magnussen, Esteban Ocon, Valtteri Bottas, Guanyu Zhou and Logan Sargent.
