The Alpine team has announced a contract extension with Pierre Gasly.
The duration of the new agreement was not disclosed, but the team emphasized that it is multi-year and that Gasly will compete for Alpine not only in 2025, but also in the future. The name of Pierre’s partner will be announced later.
Pierre Gasly: “I feel at home in this great team. I’m excited to be part of the Formula 1 project and the broader vision of Alpine Cars. I have been working with the team for over 18 months now and have always intended to build long-term relationships.
The track season is difficult, but I will stay true to the project and not go anywhere. I’m happy with the adjustments we’ve made, the hard work we’ve put in and the direction we’re going.
The team has great potential and resources. I’m excited to see what will happen in the future and right now I’m focused on the daily work we do to improve results.”
Bruno Famen, team leader: “The confirmation of the contract with Pierre is very pleasant. He has a wealth of experience in Formula 1 and continues to show potential on the track. He is a great ambassador for the Alpine brand and we look forward to continuing our partnership.
The contract extension is an important step for our future, but now we must focus on improving the current car. We have high ambitions for this season and we will continue to work tirelessly to achieve them.
The team is in no hurry to choose a partner for Pierre, but we are satisfied with the options we have.”
