In the last four races, Sergio Perez has only scored eight points. However, the Red Bull Racing driver is not discouraged and assures that if he sees an opportunity to regain a few tenths, it will radically influence his position on the track.
Sergio Perez: “We are talking about minimal gaps, so if I manage to gain back a few tenths it will radically change my results. For example, McLaren had the best car in the last stage in Barcelona, but Oscar Piastri could do nothing and fell behind.
Like I said, the gaps are minimal, so this can happen to any rider. I have been in this business for a long time, so I know that the only thing that matters is what position I will have in the individual competition after the finish of the race in Abu Dhabi. That’s why I have to work now and solve all the problems I have encountered.
I think the Spielberg stage should go well for us, so I’m looking forward to both the sprint and the race.”
