Williams has strengthened its technical staff

The Williams team has announced the appointment of new specialists who will significantly strengthen the team’s technical headquarters.

Williams will be joined by former Alpine technical director Matt Harman, who will take on the role of chief designer after the summer break. Fabrice Moncade will take on the role of chief engineer from 1 July. He previously worked for Ferrari, Mercedes and Sauber.

Juan Molina will take up his role as head of aerodynamics on July 15. He joins Williams from Haas and previously worked at Red Bull Racing. Steve Winstanley, from Red Bull Racing, has been appointed Chief Composites Engineer.

Richard Frith will join Williams as head of performance management in 2025. He previously worked for Jordan/Force India, Sauber, Marussia and McLaren.

All five will report directly to Pat Fry, who joined Williams in November last year.

In addition, another 26 different specialists from Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull Racing and Alpine joined Williams.

The appointments at Williams don’t end there. Sorin Kiran, who spent 17 years at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, has joined the team. At Williams, he will lead the artificial intelligence program.
