Horner: Max’s position in relation to the team does not change

In any case, representatives of the Mercedes camp have lately continued to hint at their interest in the three-time world champion, which is why the press is not satisfied with the answers from the Dutch driver himself, who assures that he is already working on the project together with Red Bull Racing next year’s car.

Christian Horner commented on the situation in his own way at today’s press conference in Spielberg and suggested that such questions be forwarded to Toto Wolff, the head of the Mercedes team.

“You have to ask Toto that question,” Horner said. – Max gave a rather categorical answer at yesterday’s press conference, and in this respect his position towards our team has never changed.

I believe Mercedes is using this tactic as a kind of diversionary maneuver. And if Toto Wolff really wants a driver named Verstappen to drive for his team next year, then I think Jos could probably be available.”
