Verstappen on his collision with Norris: “The guy in the car knows better than anyone what he’s doing”

Red Bull racer Max Verstappen commented on the collision with McLaren driver Lando Norris during the Austrian Grand Prix.

The collision occurred after Verstappen and Norris had been battling for the lead for several laps. As a result, both drivers were forced to pit, with Verstappen dropping to fifth and Norris retiring. Verstappen was given a ten-second time penalty for the collision.

– Of course, it’s hard to see from the outside when I start to slow down. And I know that has caused complaints in the past.

Now I always align the wheels before braking, then I start braking in a straight line. From the outside it is always easy to see that I move when I brake.

But I think the guy in the car knows what he’s doing better than anyone,” Verstappen said as quoted by Sky Sports.

The winner of the Austrian Grand Prix of the Formula 1 championship was the British driver of the Mercedes team, George Russell.

The next Formula 1 Grand Prix will be held at Silverstone (United Kingdom) from July 5 to 7.
