Qualification

Race
After winning the Austrian Grand Prix, George Russell took his first win of the season and the second of his career. This is the 126th victory for Mercedes and the seventh in Spielberg. Russell became the fourth driver to win this race driving a Mercedes – after Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.
Mercedes’ last victory came 33 races ago, when Russell won the 2022 Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Oscar Piastri finished second for the third time in his career and stood on the podium for the fourth time.
Carlos Sainz finished third – his 23rd podium finish and first at Spielberg.
Max Verstappen’s fifth place ended his run of five consecutive podium finishes at the Austrian circuit. In Austria, Verstappen led the 87th Grand Prix, equalling Fernando Alonso in second place in the overall standings.
Nico Hulkenberg’s sixth place is his best result since the 2019 Italian Grand Prix.
Sergio Perez finished seventh, his sixth consecutive race without a podium finish.
