Red Bull Racing made its World Championship debut in 2005 and is now in its 20th year of history, so its approach to the upcoming British Grand Prix is special, including the livery of the cars of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. What exactly the RB20 will look like, however, is still a secret and will only be revealed tomorrow.
Max Verstappen: “The British Grand Prix is another home race for our team, so we want to give everyone at Red Bull Racing Milton Keynes something to be proud of.
In Austria, things didn’t end as we had hoped, but last weekend we learned a lot, and the team and I will take all this with us into the future, analyze it well and try to apply it in our work.
During the race we made certain mistakes that cost us a lot of money, but we also have to remember good moments, of which there were many during the weekend, including winning the sprint and two pole positions.
We’re reviewing everything we did right, finding out what went wrong and now preparing for the final race of a very intense three-round series, where we plan to fight for victory again at Silverstone.
“We have a special race ahead of us, for which the team has prepared a new version of the car’s design. We want to be even stronger and are ready for the weekend at Silverstone, especially because this is the 20th year in the history of our team and this is something to celebrate.”
Sergio Perez: “The results of the stage in Austria are disappointing, but our pace was affected by the fact that the car suffered significant damage at the beginning of the race, so my weekend was not the best.
After Saturday, in preparation for Sunday, we were able to increase the efficiency of the car and it is a pity that we did not see confirmation of this on track. We continue to work on analysing the information gathered to show good pace throughout the weekend at Silverstone.
The upcoming British Grand Prix will be special as the team celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and the race takes place so close to Red Bull Racing’s home base, with everyone who works there and contributes to the team’s incredible success also living nearby.
For this race the car will be painted in a special way and will look even more impressive. I want to achieve a better result and return to my previous form.”
