Riccardo: Don’t think I don’t care

Daniel Ricciardo has no contract for next season, and there is a possibility that his Formula 1 career will come to an end, but the Australian is philosophical about it.

Daniel Ricciardo: “Changing teams? I don’t agree. I don’t want to seem stubborn or arrogant, but I’m not looking for anything else. As I said, I really enjoy being back with my family. Strangely enough, I even like Helmut Marko’s jokes, because it’s a way to encourage me a little bit.

Don’t think I don’t care. All this worries me a lot. I’m doing everything I can, I’m doing everything I can. If that’s enough to secure me a spot, fine. If not, then I know I’ve done everything I can.

If I do well at Silverstone, everything can change in the next race. I’m sure that fifth place in qualifying in Montreal made Hellmuth smile. If I can do this a few more times, I’ll be fine. It all depends on the results, that’s what I’m concentrating on.

Liam Lawson testing? I think it was planned a long time ago. Anyway, this is one of those cases where the older you get, the more you realize that you can only control what you can control.

“If Liam does well on these tests, that’s good for Liam. I have no control over it and I don’t wish him any harm, not at all. Now I’m in the cockpit and I have to do everything I can to control what I can.”
