Ferrari boss Frederic Vasseur said the team will bring new products to the British Grand Prix, which should improve the car’s aerodynamic efficiency and increase downforce.
Frederic Vasseur: “Along with the Italian Grand Prix, the British leg has been on the calendar longer than any other. Silverstone’s fast corners highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the car, and the driver can have a huge impact on the outcome.
I believe that the upgrade package that the engineers at Maranello have developed for the SF-24 will be a good step forward, as it will provide more downforce thanks to the aerodynamics. It is now the task of those working directly on the track to maximise and exploit this potential.
This weekend follows a standard format. This gives us three hours of training to help us find the settings and discover the benefits of the updates. But I’ve said before that knowing how to properly configure a machine will have a greater impact than simply installing new components.
We need to do a better job so that Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz qualify higher and can fight for the top positions in the race.”
