Valtteri Bottas continues to negotiate with teams over a contract for 2025. At Silverstone, the Finnish driver said he expects to resolve the issue before the summer break.
Valtteri Bottas: “I feel that the situation is starting to develop and that we are getting closer to the final goal, but at the moment I have nothing to announce as nothing has been signed yet.
I think I am in a good position and I feel that there are people in the paddock who fortunately know what I am capable of and know my strengths, but it takes time to agree on all the details.
I am not angry that the contract has not been signed yet. It is only July and these situations are part of the sport. I have been in a similar situation in the past, where I had to wait until September or October. If I am in the same position in October as I am now, it can upset me, but not in July.
The goal is to sign the contract as early as possible. I think it is very possible to do it before the summer break. That is the goal.”
