During Friday’s practice at Silverstone, the Ferrari team experimented with settings, trying to get the most out of new features that had appeared on the SF-24 in earlier rounds. The Scuderia summarised the work done and turned all its attention to preparing for qualifying.
Charles Leclerc (5th): “We have done a lot of testing and comparisons on two machines today. The team will have to analyze the collected data to be able to take a step forward.
At this point we are not completely satisfied yet, so we will continue to work hard to resolve all issues quickly and qualify well.”
Carlos Sainz (8th): “Interesting Friday. Today our goal was to gather information and get a full understanding of the car. The goals have been achieved and now we have to analyze everything and prepare for Saturday.
We have to make some decisions, but I think we can be in a good position this weekend.”
