Logan Sargent could lose his place at Williams as early as this season. The British team’s principal, James Vowles, made it clear that he was considering the possibility.
James Vowles: “Logan was given the opportunity to keep his place. I want him to perform at Alex’s level. In short, I want him to consistently achieve the same results as his partner.
The team is also responsible for Logan not performing at Alex’s level. In several races we simply couldn’t give him the same car because we didn’t have the necessary parts. But in the last few races they have identical cars and Logan’s fundamental task is to help the team move forward.
At some point we will have to make a decision – for the 2025 season and maybe even this year. But that will not happen today. Right now my priority is to sort out the car, because this one is not good enough. Not Logan, and not Alex.”
