Russell’s fastest lap was 1 minute and 25.819 seconds. The second fastest lap was shown by his teammate Lewis Hamilton (+0.171), the third – McLaren’s Lando Norris (+0.211).
Current world champion Max Verstappen (+0.384; Red Bull) of the Netherlands takes fourth place.
During the first segment, qualifying was interrupted by red flags due to Red Bull driver Sergio Perez going off the track.
The British Grand Prix race will take place at Silverstone on Sunday.
