Hamilton on British Grand Prix win: ‘There’s nothing better than finishing first at Silverstone’

British pilot Lewis Hamilton said he wanted to win the British Grand Prix in his final race at Silverstone for Mercedes.

Hamilton took first place in the British Grand Prix on Sunday. For the 39-year-old Briton, who will drive for Ferrari next season, it was his first victory since 2021.

“Since 2021, I get up every day to train, to give my all and work as hard as possible with this incredible team.

This is my last race at the British Grand Prix for Mercedes. And I wanted to win it for the team, because I love and appreciate everyone so much. I am eternally grateful to everyone at Mercedes, and all our fans. I could see you going round and round. “There is nothing better than finishing here in first place,” Hamilton said, according to Sky Sports.

Hamilton won at Silverstone for the ninth time in his career.
