Both Aston Martin drivers scored points at Silverstone…
Lance walk (7th): “It was a difficult race, but we did it and earned important points for the team. I had a good start and passed Hulkenberg. When it started to rain, we changed to intermediate tyres. It is always difficult to know how long you can hold out, but we made the right decision.
It is good that we finished the series of three Grands Prix in good shape. This will be an extra motivation for the team, we will try to use it in Hungary.”
Fernando Alonso (8th): “Two cars in the top ten is a good result. This weekend the car is more competitive, we were in our usual positions.
“During the race, it was difficult at some points to understand which tyres to use – for wet or dry asphalt. I think we were a lap too late to switch to intermediate tyres, but to make such decisions you need luck. We need to keep refining the car to get more out of it in the coming races.”
