A few weeks ago, citing Italian sources, we wrote that Enrico Cardile, Ferrari’s technical director for chassis work, is planning to move to Aston Martin.
So far, this has only been half confirmed: Maranello will indeed say goodbye to an engineer who has been with Ferrari for almost twenty years.
“Enrico Cardile is leaving the company and leaving the position of Technical Director for Chassis Operations,” reads a short press release from the Italian team. – After almost two decades at Ferrari, Cardile has announced his decision, so the chassis program will be led temporarily by Frederic Vasseur, team principal.
Everyone at Ferrari thanks Enrico for his many years of work.”
There has been no response from Aston Martin yet. However, Gazzetta dello Sport has already reported that the position left by Cardile will most likely be filled by Loïc Serra, who will join Ferrari on October 1.
