Ayo Komatsu: Our next target is RB

The last two Grands Prix have yielded twenty points for Haas F1, allowing it to stay ahead of Alpine and move up to seventh in the Constructors’ Championship. The team manager stated that the next target is RB.

Ayo Komatsu: “Our next target is RB. We scored 20 points in two races and are now only four points behind RB. We must always strive to make a new step, for us the next target is sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship.

I am happy with the form of the team. There is a lot of hard work behind us, the solution to many modernization problems. But look at the results. The boys did it! I have always believed that there are great people working at our base. It was simply necessary to combine their efforts.

Nico qualified sixth and the race conditions were quite tricky. It was necessary to put the right tyres on at the right time. It sounds easy, but it really isn’t. But the guys did it and I’m proud of them.

We have established communication within the team. Yes, they are not perfect, but much better. Everyone does their job, works together. Teamwork is very useful, we are moving forward – and look what we are already achieving.”
