At Silverstone, Williams boss James Vowles made it clear that Logan Sargent could lose his place in the team this season. The American driver finished eleventh on Sunday and promised to keep fighting despite Vowles’ words.
Logan Sargent: “I’ve heard different things, but just like the weekend at Silverstone, I’m doing my best every time. Everyone in the team is working at maximum efficiency, including me. I want to prove myself and show that I can keep improving and getting better.
I know the facts about how the situation really is. I know I’m doing well this season and that’s all that matters to me. I know I’m a good driver of the car I have at my disposal.
“I am very proud of the path I have taken since the Suzuka stage. I have shown that I can achieve results even if my machine cannot. I am a fighter and I will fight until the end.”
