The previous two races, in Austria and Great Britain, were won by Mercedes drivers, but bookmakers consider Max Verstappen the favourite for the stage at the Hungaroring circuit. Lando Norris is in second place in the rankings and the chances of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are considered equal: they share third place.
