Wolff: W15 to undergo another test in Hungary

Mercedes drivers have won the previous two rounds and the team is now enthusiastically preparing for the rounds in Hungary and Belgium, just a week apart, followed by the long-awaited summer break in the championship.

Toto WolffTeam Principal: “We are heading into the next two stages with renewed vigour. We continue to make progress and have achieved excellent results in the recent races in Austria and Silverstone thanks to the speed of the W15.

At the same time, the team is working hard to make the car even more efficient, because we know that it is not yet possible to fight for victories every weekend. We hope that we can reach this level. The work will continue in the next two phases of the season until the summer break.

The Hungaroring has a different character than the circuits where the last few races took place. Unlike Silverstone, there are many narrow winding sections and only one more or less long straight line. However, there are also several fast corners there, so in Hungary our car will undergo another test – there it will become clear whether we really managed to increase the speed when passing through different types of corners.

We are preparing for the Hungarian weekend, fully focused on the tasks ahead of us – we will try to tackle them as best we can. We hope to continue the upward trend and finish the first half of the season with confidence.”
