The Red Bull Racing team was one of the main protagonists of the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed, but now it is time to get back to more serious business and prepare for the upcoming Hungarian round of the season.
MaxVerstappen: “Hungary has an interesting circuit and we are preparing to race there this weekend. The track is twisty and narrow, has a very technical second sector and there is a promise of really warm weather this week.
The race at Silverstone was not easy for us, although we made the right decisions, there is still a lot of work to be done, because we have to try to do better in the second half of the season.
I visited the team base, worked on the simulator, prepared for the upcoming race, and it was useful. We were also at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend, where we celebrated Red Bull Racing’s 20th anniversary and congratulated everyone who has been part of the team’s history.
Finally, I would like to add that we had a great race in Hungary in 2023, and since it was already the twelfth win in a row, last year’s event left pleasant memories. I hope we can perform well again now and achieve another good result for the team.”
Sergio Perez: “After the British Grand Prix it was nice to get away from the noise of the race circuits for a while – sometimes that’s really important. While I spent most of my time with my family and trained intensively, I also visited the team base, talked to my engineers, worked on the simulator and together we tried to figure out what we needed to do to improve our form in some way.
When results are disappointing, we always work together to find a solution – that is what we are doing now to overcome the losing streak…”
