McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown believes Red Bull will face internal unrest if other teams are allowed to challenge for the title.
Zac Brown: ‘I think these shocks will have more medium to long-term consequences. The car they are racing in now was made last year, when everything was fine in the team. But in 2026, when the regulations change and Formula 1 goes to different engines, insufficient internal stability could affect the results.
Winning brings everything together and holds it together, and when winning becomes increasingly difficult, internal problems and turmoil arise.
“I think they got the most out of the car before anyone else. Then of course there was a point where progress slowed down. They were great because they got to the top first, but now we’re catching up.”
