Before the start of the Hungarian weekend, the FIA confirmed the location of the two DRS-dependent zones at the Hungaroring and changes to the circuit.
Just like last year, the point for measuring the distance between cars is five meters before turn fourteen.
The activation point for the first DRS zone is on the straight forty metres after turn fourteen. The activation point for the second is six metres after turn one.
The paddock has been rebuilt. On the right side of turn 2 there is a concrete barrier with rubble netting on it. The same barriers with netting are placed at the exit of turn 4, at turn 12 and on the right side at the pit lane entry.
The tyre barriers at turns 1, 2, 4, 7, 10, 12 and when exiting turns 13 and 14 have been replaced with new ones.
Behind the curb at the exit of Turn 5 there is a 2.5 metre strip of grass on the left, and at the exit of Turn 12 there is a 2.5 metre gravel strip on the left.
At the start/finish line, at the location of the race control centre and the pit stop area, a 14-metre wide strip of asphalt appeared. It covers the entire width of the circuit and the pit lane.
