Alpine riders showed off new helmets
Alpine drivers Lando Norris and Esteban Ocon have unveiled the new helmet livery they will use at the Hungaroring this weekend.
The coloring is done in light colors, which will also help in the fight against the heat. On a white background are patterns of the famous Hungarian porcelain factory Herend Porcelain.
Norris’ helmet colour is a reference to his mistake a year ago, when he accidentally broke Max Verstappen’s handmade Herend Porcelain winning trophy during an awards ceremony.
Max was given a replacement five weeks after the race and this weekend Norris will be wearing a helmet designed by Herend Porcelain, which features images of various animal species.
The colour of Ocon’s helmet follows the colours of the victory trophy the French driver received for winning the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix.
This year, the three best riders will once again receive Herend Porcelain trophies on the podium.
