On Thursday in Hungary, Yuki Tsunoda commented on rumours that he could move to Red Bull Racing next season…
Yuki Tsunoda: “Am I ready to move to Red Bull Racing and fight with the leaders? Definitely. Otherwise I wouldn’t have ended up at RB. I’m ready to fight with the top teams, with the best drivers, even with Max Verstappen. Where I will perform is decided by Red Bull. It doesn’t depend on me. I am fully focused on the next two races. The Haas opponents are very close, we have to stay focused.
Red Bull is in no hurry to make a decision. Sergio was also announced one or two races before the end of last season. He can perform very well and if a driver performs well, the team has no reason to change drivers. Everything they do is good for Perez, they try to take the pressure off him. The same goes for me: they want me to concentrate on what I am doing now.”
