The Williams drivers showed a good time on Friday. Alex Albon ended the second session in 9th place, Logan Sargent in 12th place.
Alex Albon (9th): “We have some work to do, but I am happy with today’s session. We have experimented a lot, now we need to analyze the data and keep the elements that worked.
“The car has potential, I will be surprised if we stay at the same level after such a positive start. We look good in long runs, but there is always something to improve – that’s what we are going to do today.”
Logan Sargent (12th): “It is important that we made a step forward between the first and second practice. In the first session I was not happy with the car, but in the second everything went better. We have to continue, do our job and improve tomorrow.
The weather forecast calls for cloudy weather on Saturday, which could work in our favour. I am sure Sunday will be difficult for the tyres, but we are preparing for it. I am looking forward to tomorrow.”
