Esteban Ocon (14th): “It’s always nice to come back to the Hungaroring, I love driving here. I will always have fond memories of this track.
In general, Friday was difficult. We did several experiments, but the car did not behave as we wanted. In both short and long series, there are problems with balance and grip. With more fuel, the car is more stable, but we have to improve everything to be competitive for the rest of the weekend.”
Pierre Gasly (16th): “It’s nice to be back in Hungary, although it wasn’t an easy start to the weekend for us. It’s hard to fight here in such hot weather, and the car didn’t feel at its best today.
“We have a lot to work on in terms of balance and setup, and the simulator work tonight will be very important. There is still a lot to do, but we hope to be in better shape tomorrow.”
