In Hungary, both Williams drivers qualified for the second part of qualifying, but they could not achieve more…
Alex Albon (13th): “Today we could have gone faster. I spent most of the second session behind my rivals, and when I started my lap, others slowed down to get back to the pits – the traffic was very difficult. For a good result, everything has to come together, and today we couldn’t achieve that.
On this track the tyres wear out quickly, as we have seen in Formula 2 and Formula 3, so tomorrow there will be a lot of pit stops and a fight for a clear track, which is extremely important here. It is a shame to end the day like this, but tomorrow we will try to make up for it.”
Logan Sargent (14th): “Qualifying was eventful. I am happy with the first lap, which was driven in light rain, and unhappy with the mistake in the second.
“I am grateful to the team for getting back on track. In the second session the car was faster, but in every sector I got into a disturbed airflow. Today we could have achieved more, tomorrow we will keep fighting.”
