Australian Team DriverMcLaren » Oscar Piastri admitted that since childhood he dreamed of winning a Formula 1 race.
On Saturday, Piastri won the Hungarian Grand Prix. For the 23-year-old driver, it is the first victory of his career in the Royal Races.
“This is the day I dreamed of as a child: standing on the top step of the Formula 1 podium. Thanks to the team for an incredible effort and an incredible car. Racing for McLaren is great fun and I can’t be grateful enough for the opportunity to race in Formula 1,” Piastri said after the race.
The next Formula 1 round will take place in Belgium from July 26 to 28.
