Magnussen: Spa must bring out car’s strengths

Haas is optimistic about the Belgian Grand Prix, as the team assures that the characteristics of the Spa circuit are suitable for their VF-24 car.

Ayo KomatsuTeam Principal: “I’m looking forward to returning to Spa at a circuit that is quite challenging for the cars and drivers. This circuit requires an efficient car on the long straights of the first and third sectors, but it needs to be balanced for the smooth second sector. Finding the right settings won’t be easy.

Spa always makes for interesting races, as there are plenty of opportunities to overtake and the famous Belgian weather can add to the excitement. I expect that we can finish the last race before the summer break with a strong result!”

Nico Hulkenberg: “Spa is like no other circuit. There is always an interesting challenge waiting for you here, and the fact that this is the last race before the summer holidays encourages you to give everything before the short break.

I have shown good results on this circuit in the past and given the speed of the car we hope to have a competitive weekend.

During the summer holidays I plan to spend a few days in Bavaria with my family. The holiday in the mountains will allow me to recover and then I will start training again to be ready for the second half of the season.”

Kevin Magnussen: “Spa is one of my favourite circuits in the world and geographically the closest to my home. Everyone loves this race, especially Eau Rouge, even though it is a fairly simple corner technically. Our car is effective on long straights, so our strengths should be revealed on this circuit.

Spa hosts exciting races and the weather adds to the unpredictability. This season our car has been fast on all circuits, so the team can count on a good result in the race.”
