Alex Albon: Cool weather should help us in Spa

Williams drivers are looking forward to the Belgian Grand Prix with optimism. Alex Albon and Logan Sargent are confident that the FW46 will be fast at Spa and that the cooler weather will keep tyre wear under control.

Alex Albon: “The last race before the summer break is coming up. We have had a difficult season, but we have learned a lot, have a better understanding of the car’s performance and will apply what we have learned to the second half of the season and into the future.

When we talk about Spa, I can’t wait to take part in a round on a circuit that I like and that should suit our car. The circuit is in the forest, the weather is always unpredictable and the forecast promises a bit of coolness, which should help us control the wear of the tyres, with which we had some problems last year.

I hope that we will enter the summer holidays with high spirits and take advantage of all opportunities.”

Logan Sargent: “I am looking forward to the Spa stage before the summer break. The team must build on the positive momentum of the two previous stages and end the series with a good result.

The weather is always a big factor in Spa at this time of year, offering additional opportunities.

“In the past, the Belgian circuit has suited our car better than other circuits, so it will be interesting to see how the FW46 performs in the intense battle in the middle of the peloton.”
