On the eve of the Belgian Grand Prix, the FIA spoke about changes to the circuit and confirmed the location of two DRS zones.
Compared to last year, new asphalt has been laid in the sections from the exit of turn seventeen to the entrance of the second, from the exit of turn four to the entrance of the eighth, from the entrance of turn fourteen and the exit from turn fifteen, and in the pit lane.
In the area between the first and second bends, on the left in the direction of travel, new fences were placed towards the track and in the sixteenth bend, on the right, a new exit was installed.
In turn 9, new curbs have been installed on the left. In many parts of the route, steel barriers have been replaced by concrete walls and mesh barriers. A new concrete wall has been installed on the right at the exit of turn 12.
Compared to last year, the length of the first DRS zone has changed slightly. The interval measuring point for the first DRS zone is 240 meters before the second bend and the activation point is 305 meters after the fourth bend.
The interval measuring point of the second DRS zone is 160 metres before the eighteenth bend and the activation point is 30 metres after the nineteenth.
