Norris: We still have to work on the settings on Saturday

Lando Norris led the protocol of the second free practice session of the Belgian Grand Prix. The speed of the McLaren was confirmed by Oscar Piastri, who showed the second time. The British team indicated that a lot of attention was paid to assessing the tyre wear on the new asphalt of the track.

Lando Norris (1st): “A very good day. The car seems fast and we have gathered some useful information. I still need to work on the settings in Saturday practice to feel completely comfortable behind the wheel, but today towards the end of the session I started to find my rhythm. Let’s see what results Saturday brings.”

Oscar Piastri (2nd): “The team had two productive training sessions. We had a good pace all day and managed to gather a lot of information to analyze.

I believe we can look to tomorrow with confidence. Let’s see what the weather will be like.”

Andrea StellaTeam Leader: “Positive first day in Spa. Both riders completed their planned program without problems. We concentrated on assessing the performance of the tires, taking into account that half of the lap distance was done with new asphalt. We learned a lot.

In the evening we will analyse the collected data and improve the car in order to be able to fight for the best positions in qualifying and in the race.”
