Verstappen sets fastest qualifying time for Belgian Grand Prix, but Leclerc will start from pole

Dutch pilot “Red Bull” Max Verstappen set the fastest time in qualifying for the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix.

Verstappen’s best lap was 1 minute 53.159 seconds. Second place went to Monaco’s Charles Leclerc (Ferrari; +0.595), third place went to Mexico’s Sergio Perez (Red Bull; +0.606).

Championship leader Verstappen, despite winning qualifying, will start the race from 11th, having already been given a 10-position penalty due to an engine change. Thus, pole position belongs to Leclerc.

The race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit will take place on Sunday and will start at 16:00 Moscow time.
