Williams scored no points at Spa, the best finisher was Alex Albon, classified 12th…
Alex Albon (12th): “I had a good start, but I didn’t have enough speed in the distance. We ran the race as well as we could, but to earn points you need speed, and we just didn’t have it. It would have been better to leave two sets of Hard tyres for the race, but we didn’t have them, although it wouldn’t have changed much.
We haven’t had any new products all year, we’re too far behind the others, which makes the situation more complicated. Hopefully we’ll be more competitive after the summer break.”
Logan Sargent (18th): “I was confident with the Hard tyres but it wasn’t easy to deal with the Medium tyres. I tried to hold people back, which helped Alex at the front, I tried to do my best. I think things might have been different if qualifying had been dry.”
