Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has responded to George Russell’s suspension. The driver was penalised due to the car’s underweight following the results of the Belgian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton won the race.

“Of course it’s disappointing for the team to lose the one-two finish, but there are a lot of positives to take from today’s race. The car was handling well and we had a much better pace than expected.

“I think for George, you don’t want to win the race because of a disqualification, but we’re in contention for the wins again in the latter stages. It’s incredibly competitive at the moment. We have to work hard,” GPblog quotes Hamilton.
