The Haas F1 drivers performed poorly at Spa – they crashed out of the race in the first part of qualifying and earned no points in the race…
Kevin Magnussen (14th after George Russell was disqualified): “We had a decent race, we just weren’t quick enough to fight on. We did everything we could, I finished the race with one pit stop – that was quite possible.
“I can’t say we did anything wrong. We thought this circuit would suit us, but this race turned out to be the worst in recent times. Like everyone else, I’m now most looking forward to the summer break and then to the races where we can earn points.”
Nico Hulkenberg (18th after George Russell was disqualified): “No pace, no balance, no speed. As the weekend went on I still couldn’t find a way back to the car, I need to figure out the reasons and then forget about this weekend.
Kevin looked a bit better and covered the distance nicely with one pit stop. In general we need to see how we can do better on low downforce circuits.”
