RB driver Daniel Ricciardo admitted that early season race results were below his potential, but improved during the summer series of stages and believes he is now performing at a decent level.
Daniel Ricciardo: “I would have liked to have had a strong first half of the season, but it didn’t happen. I struggled at the beginning of the year and it was clear that I had to find a way to improve.
Around Montreal I started to feel more pressure, but after that, with the exception of Silverstone, my results in the races started to come more in line with my abilities. I felt more and more confident every weekend.
“It’s important that I could improve, so I go into the break with confidence that it will only get better. I look forward to the next stages with optimism and look forward to getting behind the wheel again at Zandvoort.”
