Second place was taken by his Mexican teammate Sergio Perez.
“McLaren” driver Lando Norris came third.
Charles Leclerc, Ferrari’s season leader, finished only sixth.
Spanish riders Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso, representing “Ferrari” and “Alpin” respectively, withdrew from the race.
