In the 2024 season, McLaren drivers have reached the podium in ten consecutive races, taking victories in Miami and Hungary. Team principal Zac Brown said that engineers will continue to spend a lot of time upgrading the current MCL38 car, and he sees no reason that will prevent Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri from regularly challenging for victories after the summer break.
Zac Brown: “Our plan is to fight regularly for podiums and victories. However, we all know how quickly the situation in the sport changes, so it is necessary to continue to act in the same way as before.
We have plans to further upgrade the car this year, so I see no reason why we can’t continue to fight at the front. However, rivals will also bring new products.
In every race we manage to find a balance between the performances and thanks to this we have been ahead for almost the entire season. The intention is to continue in this way in the future.”
