In the first half of the season, Alex Albon scored points in just two races, in Australia and Miami. However, the Williams driver thinks the team will improve in the second half of the season and finish in the top ten more often.
Alex Albon: “I think the teams will have a great opportunity for the rest of the season to bounce back and improve quickly. Thanks to the new regulations, we have completely rebuilt the concept of the car over the past six months.
When we talk about previous generation cars, we just refined what we have year after year, and it was very difficult to get out of the vicious circle. With next-generation machines, we can make big decisions, radically change the concept and catch up quickly.
Our team knows its weaknesses and the types of corners we lose against rivals. Plus, we know why this happens. As a result, we have a clear direction in which to move to correct the situation. And if we fix it, we have no reason why we won’t be earning more points at the end of the season.
