Carlos Sainz will join Williams in 2025. The team’s chief race engineer Dave Robson expects Carlos Sainz to be as demanding as possible of the engineers to help the team progress.
Dave Robson: “I think there are a few things that will be scary for the engineers when Carlos joins the team. Obviously his signing with us is great news and a clear signal that we intend to change the team for the better.
I don’t know Carlos that well, but he has a reputation as a person who demands a lot from the team and gets the most out of the car. I have no doubt that he will demand a lot from all of us, but that is exactly what we need.
“Next year there is a lot of technical work to be done to improve Carlos’ way of working, to understand the car and to make it faster. The arrival of Carlos will certainly shake up the whole team in a good way.”
